Setting: A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away ... Han and Leia Organa Solo were brave, or stupid, enough to have kids.

History:

" With my parents, I could be a smuggler who saved the galaxy or a diplomat who saved the galaxy."

Jaina was the first born child of Han and Leia Organa Solo. She was born in 9ABY, on Coruscant, five minutes before her twin brother, Jacen. From the start – actually, from before they were even born – they were the target of several kidnapping plots. Coupled with that fact, and the belief Luke expressed that young children's mind could, and would, be warped if they were introduced to the Dark Side of the Force, Leia and Han made the decision to send Jacen and Jaina away to New Alderaan to be cared for by Leia's close friend Winter. Unfortunately, the reborn Emperor Palpatine discovered the planet's location and set out to destroy it. Jaina and Jacen were nearly captured but were rescued at the last second by their Uncle Luke.

They then went, with their parents, to Nespis VIII. It was there that Jaina's younger brother, Anakin, was born. Shortly after, the entire Solo family fled when the orbiting city was attacked and destroyed. It was then that it was discovered that Palpatine wanted to use Anakin's body as his last clone copy was fast deteriorating so Jaina, and her family, made their way to Onderon. Palpatine followed soon after and eventually tracked them all down where he was defeated in a fierce battle of which Jaina and Jacen were nothing more than witnesses.

Following Palpatine's defeat, Jaina and her brothers were then sent to Anoth to once again live with Winter while their parents continued to fight for peace in the galaxy. The Solo kids remained with Winter until Jaina and Jacen were nearly three-years-old and then, finally, the twins went to Coruscant to live with their parents. By this point in time, Jaina and Jacen not only were able to use the Force to move objects but their twin bond had developed to the point that they were finishing one another's sentences and could easily 'keep track' of the other over fairly impressive distances given their young age.

Although their time on Coruscant started out rocky, and was littered with a great deal of misadventures – usually at the detriment of C-3PO, whom Leia had assigned to watch after the children, and Chewbacca, who assisted the droid when he wasn't busy helping Han – Jaina and Jacen finally settled down and they, along with their parents, grew accustomed to being all under one roof.

However, no amount of family bonding was able to keep Jaina, or her family, from experiencing their share of setbacks and problems. The next one to come their way was due to an ancient Sith Lord named Exar Kun who, upon gaining control over the Jedi Kyp Durron, had managed to put Luke into a coma and also completely destroyed the Carida System. Jaina's parents took their three children with them to Yavin 4 to check on Luke. Although none of the adults could seem to communicate with the fallen Jedi, both Jaina and Jacen were able to see, and speak with, his disembodied spirit. It was through that communication that they were able to get help when Kun sent battle hydras to attack Luke. Although it was Jacen who ultimately managed to get Luke's lightsaber to work, Jaina still showed great strength and poise – especially for being so terribly young – during the battle.

Once Kun was defeated and Luke was recovered, the twins returned to Coruscant and were soon reunited with their brother Anakin who, along with Winter, moved there with them as well. For the next few years, Jaina and her family settled into a routine and lived a relatively calm existence.

Unfortunately, the calm wasn't meant to last.

By the time Jaina and Jacen were six, they – and their younger brother – had been at the receiving end of several kidnapping attempts. Ultimately, though, it was a Firrerreo by the name of Hethrir – a former apprentice of Darth Vader's, in fact - who was successful. He was not, however, successful at convincing Jaina and Jacen that he was a close family friend, or that their family was dead and he was their new guardian. But he did kidnap all three Solo children and trapped them aboard his ship. He might have been successful, too, if the kids didn't leave behind an obvious disturbance in the Force.

Eventually Jaina managed to escape her cell with use of her multitool and, coupled with Jacen, worked to free other children who were also being kept prisoner. Leia and Luke, who had been tracking their movements through the Force, arrived along with Han, Chewbacca, and some others and managed to rescue the twins. Following a brief chase, and a worrisome couple of moments, Anakin was also rescued from Hethrir's clutches. And, although there was obvious worry after the incident that the children had been exposed to the Dark Side yet again, neither Jaina nor her brothers seemed any worse for the wear.

Still, the kidnapping incident did change things for a while. Both Han and Leia were understandably worried for their safety, and Han often would refuse to even let the kids out of his sight. This, of course, led to Jaina coming up with new and inventive ways to either escape Han's notice from time to time or even just annoy him. Jacen also joined in with the games, for a while, but eventually began to play less with his sister and focus more on meditating in the Force and trying to learn how to use it.

Needless to say, that annoyed Jaina even more than being constantly watched by her father and, more often than not, she could be found attempting to interrupt her brother's studies. It was partially because of this that Han began to show special interest in his daughter and, while Jacen continued his personal studies in the Force, Jaina began to learn everything she could about mechanics from her dad. Much to Han's delight, she clearly had an aptitude for such things and the two began to build a very close bond.
Ultimately, it was this bond – and all of the time Han had spent teaching Jaina how to both pilot, and care for, a ship – that allowed her and Jacen to eventually fly their father's beloved Millennium Falcon. It was during a rescue attempt, of course, and to be completely fair they mostly flew it upside down, but ultimately Jaina and her twin brother worked together and were able to get away from their would-be captors. It was around this same time, when once again back home, that Jaina met a boy by the name of Zekk. Although he lived on the streets and certainly had qualities that were hardly redeeming, he also proved to be a good friend and, over time, they developed a close bond.

By the age of thirteen, however, Jaina didn't have time to focus on things like boys. Instead she, along with Jacen, left their parents and went to Yavin 4 to begin their Jedi training. It was while at the Jedi Praxeum that Jaina met Lowbacca – Chewbacca's nephew. Much like her father before her, Jaina immediately formed a bond with the Wookie. She also began to really excel in her studies of the Force and eventually became one of the most powerful students in attendance.

She also, of course, had plenty of adventures while at the Jedi Praxeum although none were quite as intense as one that took place about a year after her training began. It was then that she, along with Lowbacca, Jacen, and Tenel Ka, discovered a crashed TIE Fighter. Jaina, being very much her father's daughter, immediately set out to repair it – even going so far as to install a new hyperdrive. Unfortunately for Jaina and the others, the pilot of the TIE Fighter was still alive and ultimately forced them to continue the repairs. Although they managed to avoid being kidnapped by Qorl at that particular meeting, ultimately they were abducted because of his information.

Apparently, Brakiss – a student of Luke's who had fallen to the Dark Side – had decided he wanted to convert the Solo children, and eventually others in training, to the Dark Side as well so he'd opened the Shadow Academy. It was there that Jaina first experienced Force lightning when it was used on her after she defied Brakiss during a lesson. That didn't really stop Jaina from continuing to defy him whenever she had the chance but, for the first time in perhaps her life, it was during that moment that Jaina truly realized she was in over her head. Ultimately, she and the others were rescued by the arrival of Luke and Tenel Ka and life returned to 'normal' at the Praxeum once again.

For about a month, that is. Then they took a much needed vacation that, as is pretty much a running theme in this particular franchise, went horribly awry.

While vacationing on Coruscant, Jaina and Jacen rekindled their friendship with Zekk only to eventually discover that the Shadow Academy was orbiting the planet and that Zekk was aligned with them. Jaina was understandably upset but also didn't take the time to really focus on the betrayal. She was far too busy trying to sound the alarm that all of Coruscant – if not the entire galaxy – was in great danger.

After the Shadow Academy had once again fled into hyperspace, Jaina and the others returned to Yavin 4 to resume their training. It was then that Jaina finally, finally, was able to build her own lightsaber. Shortly after that, she, Jacen, and their friends took Tenel Ka to her homeworld to recover after she lost her left arm in an accident. While on Hapes, Jaina and the others helped stop a revolution and re-secure Tenel Ka's mother's place as ruler of the planet. They then headed to Kashyyyk – Lowbacca's homeworld – so that the Wookie could assist his sister in an upcoming ceremony. And, of course, that's exactly when the Shadow Academy showed up and began to attack.

This time, the Imperium strike force was led by none other than Zekk himself. Once again, Jaina tried to reason with her friend and convince him to return to the side of light. They faced off in a battle but it was obvious neither wanted to harm the other. Instead, Zekk warned her to stay away from the Imperium's next target: the Jedi Praxeum.

Obviously, Zekk knew nothing about Jaina, or just a Solo in general, because immediately after receiving the warning, Jaina and the others showed up at the Praxeum with every intention of stopping the Imperium. Yet one more time, Jaina faced off with Zekk and pleaded with him to return to the side of the light. He responded by saying he didn't want to hurt her but would stop anyone from entering the Praxeum. A heartbeat later, the Praxeum itself exploded and it finally became obvious that Zekk had simply been trying to keep the Jedi safe from the deadly blast. Although no longer affected by the Dark Side, Zekk nevertheless found recovering to be difficult and ultimately vowed to stop using the Force. He left the Praxeum while the others began the task of rebuilding, and set out to become a bounty hunter. It was a bittersweet moment for Jaina and the first sign to everyone who knew her that, clearly, she liked Zekk as more than a friend.

It took a few more misadventures, including Lowbacca almost turning against his friends through manipulation, and Han stopping a new threat to the galaxy before it could really be much more than a bad idea not yet fully formed, but finally Zekk did join the others at the Praxeum and began his official training. Not long after that, with a whole series of new, equally ridiculous adventures under her belt, Jaina and her friends were finally made Padawans.

Jaina's aunt, Mara Jade Skywalker, became her Master. They were a good fit and, obviously, their bond grew beyond that of niece and aunt. Jaina accompanied her Master on several missions – as well as one diplomatic mission that included Leia – but the sudden and devastating loss of Chewbacca drew Jaina's attention away from her training as she mourned the loss of the Wookie alongside her family. Of course, when one thing goes bad, others tend to follow in quick succession. This time, it came in the form of a new threat to the galaxy.

At first, the Yuuzhan Vong didn't seem like any greater of a threat than anything else that Jaina had faced. Yes, they were clearly powerful and organized but their first encounter with the Solo kids didn't exactly go their way. In fact, it ended with Jaina, Jacen, and Anakin performing a Force Meld that helped coordinate an attack that destroyed all of the enemy ships. However, hot on the heels of their victory, the Yuuzhan Vong made their presence known once again.

Following the battle at Helska IV, in which they were left with no choice but to destroy the planet as it was the only feasible way to cripple the Yuuzhan Vong fleet that had gathered there, almost immediately another planet was attacked by the same threat. Although the New Republic attempted to thwart their plans at every turn, they continued to lose ground. Thusly, a large movement was set into motion and each Jedi was given separate orders for their part in it.

Initially, Jaina was assigned to travel with her mother on a diplomatic mission. At first it was terribly boring for her, as well as frustrating, but ultimately she wound up on Dubrillion and Jaina was inducted into the X-Wing unit Rogue Squadron. She helped provided cover for the refugees as they fled the planet and even took out a Yuuzhan Vong warship in the process.

Earning herself the nickname Sticks, Jaina flourished in the Rogue Squadron. It wasn't long before she was helping plan battle strategies and recruit new pilots, as well as leading missions of her own accord. She also met the one man who, thus far, had managed to best her in most every simulation she'd partaken in – Jagged Fel. Although it was hardly love at first sight, with Jag's no nonsense manner and tendency to simply tell Jaina what he thought regardless of how it might upset her, the two formed a close bond.

Unfortunately, while Jaina's life was finally starting to come together in some ways and she was finally finding her place in the galaxy, her father was slowly but surely coming undone after the death of his best friend. Jaina did her best to help Han through it as much as possible but even she was unable to keep him from leaving all of them after Chewbacca's funeral. To his credit, though, he did tell Jaina to use the Millennium Falcon to get the rest of the family back home and, when pressed, Jaina refused to be as angry with him as most felt she should be.

Still. It hurt her to have her father leave them, but Jaina simply focused her attention on her duties in the Rogue Squadron. She finally earned the rank of Lieutenant and continued to do her part in trying to stave off the ever-advancing Yuuzhan Vong. Eventually, though, she wound up in over her head and, with her X-Wing about to be destroyed, was forced to eject into space. She was ultimately rescued but not before suffering hallucinations due to low oxygen levels and, ultimately, injuries that left her temporarily blind.

Once she was recovered enough to at least see again, Jaina went right back to the front lines once more. Politics, however, had finally begun to play a part in the war and an offer was made for the galaxy to know peace in exchange for all of the Jedi. Following that, the Jedi gathered on Coruscant for a meeting where it was obvious there was clear dissention in the ranks. To make matters worse, when Jaina's eyesight finally returned, the Rogue Squadron was hesitant to ask her to return to the anti-Jedi political pressure. In fact, the only good news came in the form of learning that Luke and Mara Jade were expecting a child.

The good news didn't last long, though, before a warrant was issued for their arrests. Jaina provided them cover as they fled. She was joined by the Rogue Squadron, who informed her that she was 'one of them' even if she couldn’t' fly with them at the moment. With their assistance, Luke was able to get both he and his wife away but not before asking Jaina to find Kyp Durron and request a meeting on his behalf. Jaina, of course, immediately did what her uncle asked.

Kyp made no secret of the fact that he respected Jaina a great deal. He asked her to fly with his squadron – which she refused out of loyalty to the Rogues – and also asked if he could become her new Master as her training with her aunt was, clearly, not happening due to the circumstances taking place. Jaina declined, mostly due to being uncertain of his true motives. Not long after, Kyp asked her to take part in helping stop a Yuuzhan Vong threat. Unfortunately for Jaina, the 'threat' turned out not to be one at all but was rather a ship filled with Yuuzhan Vong civilians. Realizing Kyp had known as much, and had essentially obliterated any chance of a peace treaty by his deception, not to mention putting more of a stain on the Jedi than before, Jaina swore she would never trust him again.

Following the birth of her cousin, Ben, Jaina once more returned to her Master's side. It was while on a mission with her aunt that Jaina learned of a new threat created by the Yuuzhan Vong. The voxyn were viscous creatures that hunted Force-sensitive beings and who had managed to kill quite a few before one managed to survive to tell Jaina and her aunt about them. Immediately following this news came the Yuuzhan Vong's announcement that they were going to slaughter thousands of refugees they'd captured if the new location of the Jedi base wasn't given to them. Immediately Jaina returned to Coruscant with the others to plan what they were going to do next.

Then came the fateful Mission to Myrkr.

Receiving word that the voxyn queen was located on the planet, Jaina, Jacen, Anakin, and many of their close friends, were all part of a Jedi strike force sent there to deal with the threat and deliver a crippling blow to the Yuuzhan Vong. The plan was a simple one: someone pretended to have betrayed the Jedi and hand them over, they would get deep enough into enemy space, and then they would escape. Once free of their captors, they would travel to Myrkr, locate, and destroy the queen. A simple, albeit somewhat convoluted, plan that should have worked.

It did work, too. At first at least. Yes, Jaina and the others were tortured once captured but, aside from that, they managed to escape and even made it to their destination. Once inside the Yuuzhan Vong ship, they discovered – and freed – several other Jedi (including two Dark Jedi) who were being held captive. They continued onward, but continued to meet various traps along the way that cost them injuries and lives. Ultimately, they knew their odds of surviving were slim to none but they pressed forward.

Then the unthinkable happened. Anakin, in an attempt to save Jaina, became severely injured. Using the Force to sustain him, knowing he didn't have long to live, he then fought his way through the battle and managed to detonate a charge to take out a storage container of voxyn tissue samples needed to make more of the creatures. In a giant explosion, their mission was a success and Anakin lost his life.

Jaina, for her part, went into a rage. She insisted on retrieving his body. When she came upon someone attempting to slice through Anakin's still form, she lashed out with Force lightning. She was, finally, successful in achieving her goal and the other remaining Jedi were even able to destroy the voxyn queen in all of the chaos. However, her decision to return cost them dearly as Jacen was separated from the group.

With the twin bond they'd always had, Jaina could keep tabs on her brother pretty much across the galaxy. She knew he was still alive, at least, but that she couldn't possibly rescue him without more help. Unable to voice the order that they leave him behind, her team understood and did so anyway. Jaina did help as much as she could despite the devastation she felt but it was clear that she was struggling with her emotions and walking precariously close to the Dark Side. That was made even more obvious when, during a mission to Hapes with Tenel Ka, she felt the bond with Jacen suddenly disappear.

Believing Jacen to be dead, Jaina very nearly lost complete control. She only just managed to regain it and quickly made her way to her parents. While Leia insisted Jacen was still alive, Jaina refused to believe such a thing and excused herself to grieve in privacy. Even at Anakin's funeral, she was distant from her friends and family, and thus began Jaina's descent ever closer to the Dark Side.

In a very short time span, Jaina agreed to accompany Kyp Durron on a questionable mission and, while en route, also agreed to be his apprentice. He taught her to erase memories – something she did to Lowbacca so he wouldn't be a witness to her less than ethical practices. She also continued to use Force lightning when necessary. However, following a vision where she witnessed herself killing Jacen while dressed as Darth Vader, Jaina realized how precariously close to becoming a Dark Jedi she had become and vowed to continue to fight the Yuuzhan Vong the proper way instead of compromising her own morals.

The damage, though, was already done. Or at least from the Yuuzhan Vong point of view. Because of the things she'd done, coupled with a great deal of misinformation, they came to believe she was their Goddess of Deception. The fact that she had modified one of their own ships for her personal use, and even named it the Trickster, only seemed to solidify this fact and the New Republic was more than happy to go along with it. Jaina didn't particularly like being called a Goddess but went along with it and even began to use it to her advantage. She also began to grow closer and closer with Jagged Fel, finally admitting she had feelings for him and even directly disobeying an order to not rescue him when he was under attack in a battle.

With the Yuuzhan Vong war raging on, Jaina was given command over her own squadron – the Twin Suns. Following a battle which she helped plan and lead, she learned that Jacen was still alive. They were reunited soon after but it was clear both of them had changed. However, Jaina found that while she worried what Jacen would think of what she'd done in his absence, she was more grateful to have him back in her life than anything else. She was also clearly anxious to return to active duty, and always wanted to be doing something to prepare herself for the next upcoming battle.

At her Knighting ceremony, which came not long after her reunion with Jacen, Jaina was named the Sword of the Jedi by her uncle. She took that to mean that she would wind up completely alone, never able to be happy herself, but she also took the title seriously much as she'd begun to do with many things since the war had begun. Fortunately, though, the war didn't last too terribly much longer. Many more lives were lost, of course, but by the end of it Jaina's immediate friends and family – at least, the ones she had left – were still alive much to her relief and faint surprise.

At the very end of the war, Jag asked her to return with him to his homeworld but Jaina declined, saying she wasn't ready for marriage. She did promise to remain close with him, though. Next she attended a meeting where Luke laid out the future plans for the Jedi. She re-committed herself to fighting for peace and justice before leaving with her family to attend a memorial on Kashyyyk for Chewbacca and Anakin.

It's as the memorial is coming to a close that Jaina is going to find herself aboard the Tranquility.

Personality:

"Hey, the universe is the one with the problem. It's just the Solos' job to fix it."

Jaina Solo is hardly what most would consider an ideal Jedi and they would be right. She's arrogant, emotional, has a sarcastic streak a mile wide, and is as stubborn as the day is long. She doesn't always follow orders and, in fact, will often question them if she feels they don't make sense or might get her, or someone else, hurt. She speaks her mind even when she probably shouldn't and she never backs down from a fight. In fact, especially based on the Old Order's criteria, Jaina is about the worst possible candidate for a Jedi ever.

Which makes it all the more ironic that she is, in fact, one of the best Jedi in her time.

What might seem like an enigma to many is really easy to explain, though. Jaina's good at what she does because of all of the flaws that people see in her. Her arrogance causes her to strive harder in all that she does so that she can back up her claims. Her stubbornness has helped her out of many sticky situations when others had given up. Her lack of following orders has helped turn entire wars in her favor and won her more battles than she can count. And her emotions – one of the cornerstone 'no no's' for a Jedi – is what drives her forward, each and every day, to do everything in her power to right the injustices of the galaxy no matter the personal cost.

Of course, things don't always work to her favor. For example, the death of her brother Anakin caused her to lose control of her emotions and very nearly sent her over to the Dark Side. Her own insecurities of not measuring up to her powerhouse of a family, as well as her own arrogant bragging, has made her second guess herself at critical times. She's used sarcasm when she shouldn't and more than once her stubbornness has gotten her, and others, into trouble.

The war has taken its toll on her too. While she's still capable of being the fun loving, somewhat carefree girl that she once was, age, maturity, and life experiences have all worked to harden her. She's grown up over the past few years, though. Her fierceness and determination have slowly begun to emerge as noticeable traits while her temper and stubbornness have begun to take the backseat. It's slow going, and sometimes she falters as everyone does, but she's starting to mature into a responsible, fierce, devoted young woman.

The end result, really, is the same. Because when push comes to shove, whether she's leading a group into a battle where they're all likely to die or hanging out with her family, enjoying a quiet dinner, Jaina is still a good person who, above all else, just wants to do the right thing and help those who need it.

{The Sword of the Jedi}

During her Knighting, Jaina was named, by her Uncle Luke, as the 'Sword of the Jedi'. Although she didn't know what it meant at the time, and still isn't 100% sure, the one thing Jaina does know is that when the Force tells your ridiculously powerful uncle to give you a special title, you should probably take note. Unfortunately, the Yuuhzan Vong War meant Jaina couldn't really focus, fully, on her new title but, when times get tough and her back's against the wall, she tends to use it as a sort of mantra to get her re-focused and back in action. [Note: Eventually, Jaina will come to take her title very seriously, to the point that her friends and family will worry about her, but as she's arriving on board before that point in her life, it likely won't come into play in-game.]

{Han Solo}

Jaina is the walking, talking embodiment of a daddy's girl. Her love for flying and mechanics is very much a result of time she spent with Han when she was growing up and she definitely notices whether he takes pride in her actions or reacts poorly to them. Granted his opinions don't always steer her in the right direction, and sometimes she purposefully ignores them in lieu of doing what she wants in a given situation, but there's no question that the majority of Jaina's personality comes from her father and she's not only not ashamed, but is actually proud, to admit that.

{Leia Organa Solo}

To say Jaina has a strained relationship with her mother would be an understatement. She loves Leia just as much as she loves the rest of her family but Jaina has always felt that her mother chose politics over her family, time and again, and because of this she has a difficult time getting close to the woman. She is highly critical of Leia – although at least has the good sense to keep it to herself more often than not – and even finds it difficult to train around her because she doesn't believe her mother takes the Force seriously but instead treats it much like a toy. However, the older Jaina gets, the more she's beginning to realize that she has more in common with Leia than she always thought and has even, from time to time, been able to appreciate the way her mother handles situations.

{Luke Skywalker}

The Jedi Grand Master of the New Order is a great title and all but Jaina really does prefer to just call him 'Uncle Luke'. As a child, she didn't really idolize him the way that her siblings did but she always loved, him. Throughout her Jedi training, though, and in the few past years since, Jaina's come to highly respect him, too. Although many likely believe her own unflinching loyalty toward those she cares for is something that comes from her parents, the truth is that most of that actually comes from the man who taught her how to put together her own lightsaber.

{Mara Jade Skywalker}

Jaina obviously carries a great deal of respect, and adoration, for the woman who not only managed to marry her Uncle Luke but also became her Master. She stills tries the woman's patience from time to time – mostly because she can - but she rarely second guesses an order and will jump through whatever hoops are necessary to do whatever it is that her (now former) Master expects of her.

{Jacen Solo}

As Jaina's twin brother, Jacen has always had a special place in her heart. They share a twin bond that surpasses even Luke and Leia's and, together, have become quite a formidable team in battle. There isn't much of anything they can't accomplish when they work together and, at this particular point in time at least, there isn't a thing Jacen could ever do that would make Jaina turn on him.

{Anakin Solo}

The recent loss of Jaina's younger brother caused her to walk precariously close to the Dark Side. She adored Anakin, still does, and she feels his death deeply every second of every day. When he was alive, they were as close as siblings tend to be and, although he was younger, he was also easily one of her personal heroes.

Abilities, Weaknesses and Power Limitations:
Abilities

The Force:

"Even being a Jedi is something where you look for more. At first you acted as if Jedi was synonymous with hero. It isn't."

Even as a young girl, Jaina had a strong connection with the Force. As a trained Jedi Knight, she primarily uses it for telekinesis, honing her senses/agility/strength/speed/etc. in battle, controlling her own presence within the Force, and sensing others. She is also capable of breaking free of a Force choke, is highly skilled at the Jedi mind trick, can erase the memories of others, is trained in using a Jedi healing trance (including how to clear toxins from her body), is able to perform the Jedi battle meld (although this is only something she's attempted with her brother(s) and isn't keen on announcing her ability to do so without them) and has, on a few rare occasions, produced Force lightning (something she does not intentionally do often, if ever). [Note: Jaina also has a very strong bond with her twin brother, Jacen, through the Force. It's a moot point now but, should a Jacen ever come onto the ship, it's something that would naturally exist for both of them. Also, I'd like to point out that aside from the core Jedi abilities, most of Jaina's other abilities are either dependent on someone else (primarily her brothers) or is something she isn't comfortable doing (erasing memories, for example). I'll understand if you'd like to put power restrictions on her but I thought I should mention that, first. Thanks!]

Lightsaber:

"Always wanted to know how a lightsaber worked. Can I take yours apart, Uncle Luke?"

One of the first things Jaina was taught by her Uncle Luke, when it was time to begin her Jedi training, was how to build her own lightsaber. Hers is a single-blade, violet hue, and she is highly skilled in its use. Her fighting style is described as everything from cool and measured, while never wasting any unnecessary effort, to frenzied and ruthless, depending on whom she's fighting and her mindset at the time. [Note: Technically there is no Jedi fighting style in the New Order as it existed within the Old. However, if you'd like for me to elaborate more upon Jaina's fighting style and attempt to use the Old Order's descriptors, I can do so.]

Pilot:

"Jagged, I want you to know that I still love you. And I always will. But if you can eject, you should do it now."

To say that Jaina is skilled as a pilot would almost be an insult. Her own father has stated on more than one occasion that she's one of the best around and her experience has shown, time and again, that he's right. Between her use of the Force to hone her senses and reflexes, her own natural ability, and the training she's received throughout her life, there isn't much of anything that Jaina can't fly, and do an excellent job of it.

Mechanical Aptitude:

"How's this for a systems' malfunction?!"

Jaina has always had an affinity for mechanics. As a child, she would often perform "upgrades" on her Uncle Luke's lightsaber and even, with the help of her brothers, attempted to program a droid to do their homework. As a teenager, mostly courtesy of Han and Chewbacca's teachings, Jaina was skilled enough to install a hyperdrive in a starfighter. Now that she's an adult, Jaina's skills have only increased and, more importantly, her curiosity toward technology and how to make it work to her advantage is something that's grown as well.

Fighter:

"I'm still fighting. I'm going to keep fighting until there isn't a single threat left in this galaxy."

Aside from her skills with a lightsaber, Jaina is also a highly trained and experienced fighter in both hand to hand, and air, combat. She knows how to use most projectile firearms and is excellent at thinking on her feet and using items around her to help her during a fight.

Strategist:

"Let's get this over with now, so we aren't tempted to break up into discussion groups during the next crisis."

Jaina has a great head for battle strategies and is exceptional at 'thinking outside of the box' when more standard means of attacking an enemy has failed. She's also good at psychological warfare and infiltration techniques – both tactics which she has used throughout various battles in her life to gain the upper hand.

Weaknesses

Species:

"A little trouble breathing. But not much blood loss. I'll be fine."

As a human, Jaina is as susceptible to any injury or illness that could befall anyone else. Although she has the upper hand in some scenarios, she's hardly invincible (even if she sometimes forgets this fact).

Dark Side:

"Just as the Light Side brings freedom, the Dark Side brings only bondage."

Yes, all Jedi have to be wary of the Dark Side, but Jaina's already walked the precipice between the Light and the Dark and very nearly toppled over. Odds are she won't do it again but it's always something that will be a weakness of hers, something that she will struggle with as stress levels rise, and something that other Force users may realize about her which could lead to some very awkward interactions, etc.

Temper:

"Please don't threaten me. I really don't take too kindly to things like that."

Jaina's temper is a huge weakness of hers. It's something she's struggled with her entire life and continues to struggle with daily. She has tricks for coping, sure, but if someone knew what they were doing they could easily manipulate her by use of her temper to get her to do ridiculous things she wouldn't otherwise. Also, her temper ties directly into how close she comes to the Dark Side at times and causes her to do things that, while effective, no Jedi should really do.

Ego:

"You can call me 'Great One'. Most people do."

Much like her temper, Jaina's ego is a weakness of hers. She's not quite the raving ego maniac that her twin will eventually become that some people believe her to be but she's certainly not shy in acknowledging her own skills and being very, very proud of the last name 'Solo' and all that entails. Blame Han for this one, folks, Leia probably does.

Family:

"I'm not afraid of dying. I'm afraid of surviving, getting to the end of the war and discovering that I'm all alone.

There is literally nothing that Jaina wouldn't do for her family. Having already lost her younger brother, and believed her twin to be dead for a good while, she's even more protective of them now than ever. People could easily use such a thing to their advantage if they're very, very brave or very, very stupid, and probably a mixture of both.

Inventory: Her lightsaber and Jedi robes.
Appearance: Jaina stands 4'10" tall and has fair skin, brown eyes, and dark brown hair which she tends to wear shoulder-length. (You can see a drawing of her, from the books, here.) For the purposes of the game, I'd like to use Amelia Warner.

S A M P L E S
Log Sample: Two weeks. Two kriffing weeks onboard the Tranquility and Jaina is no closer to figuring out some new, inventive way to gain control over the ship than she was when she woke up, naked, covered in goo. It's frustrating, ridiculously so, and she's pretty sure that Anakin (her brother, thanks, not the young version of her not-yet-evil grandfather because no) is sitting around, in the Force, and laughing at her failed attempts at doing something that should really be second nature to her by now. Because seriously, when you've been kidnapped as many times as she's been, finding a way to circumvent your kidnapper, especially when on a spaceship, should be as easy as breathing.

Yet she's getting nowhere, fast, and it's starting to really get to her.

Of course, she knows there's every chance that she's just as stuck as everyone keeps insisting they are but she's not giving up that easily. Sure she isn't ripping paneling from the wall and trying to gain control through some backdoor circuit because, well, history has shown time and again that that is never a good idea and usually leads to you having to be rescued from the now destroyed ship that's holding you captive, but she's close to considering it. Fortunately for everyone else on board, whatever quiet voice of reason (that suspiciously sounds a lot like Jacen) Jaina possesses is still loud enough to keep her from doing anything too reckless.

So instead she's taken to tinkering with bits of technology in her room. Not much, really, just little trinkets here and there that she's found lying about. The work is a little tedious, and pretty far below her pay grade, but it keeps her hands, and mind, busy. However it also keeps her fairly isolated which, normally, wouldn't be an issue except for the fact that none of her family actually remembers being her family, here, so none of them are aware of the unspoken rule that when she's too caught up in whatever she's doing to come up for air, they should intervene.

Except, apparently someone did get the message because no sooner does the thought cross her mind that a knock sounds at her door. With a slight frown of confusion mixed with concentration, she calls out a brisk, "Come in." As if on cue, a spark emits from the device she's holding at exactly the same time her door opens. With a slight yelp, Jaina drops the device, begins to shake her hand rapidly to get the sting of burnt flesh to ease, and mutters a low "Oh, sithspit" before finally turning with a somewhat irritated look toward whoever it is that came by and started the whole debacle to begin with.

Comms Sample: [Video]
[The camera cuts on to reveal a very displeased looking young woman. She stares at the screen for a second, as though expecting it to do something else and, when it doesn't, she just sighs heavily and mutters something that probably isn't meant to be heard by young ears before looking back to the camera once more.]

For the record, this entire situation is a giant, steaming pile of bantha poodoo. If someone has programmed a ship to kidnap people, the least they could do is program it to kidnap the right people. Bringing me here without my brother? [A slight shake of her head.] That never ends well.

[There's a pause but, nope, she isn't about to explain what she means by that. Instead she gives a resigned sigh and gets to her real point for all of this.]

And now that I have that off my chest, where can I help out around here? If I'm going to be stuck on this floating pile of space junk, I guess I should pull my weight. [Not to mention, this place is going to get old, fast, if she doesn't stay busy.]
